1What is Project?
Ans.A separate Administrative Approval and Expenditure Sanction
2 What is Package(Subwork/Agreement)?
Ans. Subwork is a component of a project that is technically sanctioned and separate NIT issued-of specific discipline
3 Who is Project head?
Ans.C.E > 4 crores
S.E > 60 lakhs and < 4 crores
E.E < 60 lakhs
4 How to upload images/drawings/documents etc.?
Ans. Follow the steps given below to upload image/drawings/document in PMS:
i) Click on monthly upload menu
ii) Click upload image/file/drawing. You will get a search page on the right side
iii) Click on check the activate criteria (click on check box)
iv) Select the project for which you want to upload
v) Click on the project code which image/file/drawings you want to upload
vi) Click add project wise/add sub work wise
vii) Click on browse and select the image or file from your system
viii) Click on the upload image
5 How to Login to PMS?
Ans. CPWD users should use PIMS id and password to login to PMS
6 How to upload division monthly accounts?
Ans.For uploading monthly account follow the given steps after login in PMS:
1. Click on monthly Upload menu
2. Click on PMS file (Export Data)
3. You would get a page right side the menu heading Uploading of file.
4. Click on the browse button and select the file from the source directory.
5. Then click on upload zip button.
6. Now your file is successfully uploaded.
7 What is MPR?
Ans.Monthly Progress Report
8 What is CAPF?
Ans. CAPF - Central Armed Police Force
9 What is the role of CE and SE?
Ans. i) Check whether all projects under various stages of execution under their jurisdiction are entered.
ii) Declaration of packages
iii) Update the probable date of completion, percentage progress and remarks of each project
iv) Monitor whether the monthly accounts data is uploaded by the concerned divisions
10 What is the role of EE?
Ans. i) EE has to enter physical progress in percentage and remarks of the status of the projects (of EE) and agreements.
ii) The monthly accounts file to be uploaded to PMS every month.
11Who can update the probable date of completion, percentage progress and remarks?
Ans.

12How many project status/stages are there in PMS?
Ans.  There are 5 stages/status in PMS
i) REQUISITION RECEIVED, PE TO BE SENT
ii) PE SENT, AA AND ES AWAITED
iii) WORK SANCTIONED, YET TO BE AWARDED
iv) WORK IN PROGRESS
v) COMPLETED WORKS
13What reports are available under management review?
Ans. The following are the reports available under management review:

i)  WORKS FOR WHICH REQUISITION RECEIVED - PRELIMINARY DRAWINGS NOT SENT
ii) WORKS FOR WHICH PRELIMINARY DRAWINGS APPROVED - PE NOT SENT
iii) WORKS FOR WHICH REQUISITION RECEIVED BUT PE NOT SUBMITTED (PROFORMA A)
iv)WORKS FOR WHICH SANCTION HAS BEEN RECEIVED BUT WORK NOT YET AWARDED (PROFORMA - B)
v) REVIEW OF WORK AT CONSTRUCTION STAGE (PROFORMA - C)
vi) SUMMARY OF PROJECTS COSTING ABOVE RS. 20 CRORES (PROFORMA - D)-FOR ALL WORKS
14What is project history?
Ans.Project history for any project that will show the following:-

-Requisition details
-Name of Project
-Details of clients
-Sending date of Preliminary Drawings
-Preliminary Estimate details
-A/A & E/S Details
-Packages
-Agreement details
-Images/P
-Remarks History
15How to transfer project from one office to another as per cadre review?
Ans. Project owner can transfer the project from one office to another as per cadre review (Edit>>Cadre Review Project Transfer)
16How to generate expenditure statement?
Ans.Head of Account wise expenditure booked in all division is compiled (automatically when they upload the monthly account file) and reports for higher offices are generated.

Division->Circle->Zone->Sub-Region->Region->DG Office

Expenditure Statement can be found in Menu option under Reports in PMS
17What is Cash flow statement and how to generate?
Ans.Cash flow statement: Work wise and Month wise statement of expenditure of Capital Heads for the financial year with Actual and Projected Expenditure
Division: Work wise projected expenditure should be updated. Actual expenditure is automatically picked by system when monthly account file is uploaded in PMS.
Circle: Head wise automatically compiled and report is generated.
Zone: Head wise automatically compiled Head wise and report is generated.
18How to generate E/T Ratio?
Ans. Division can generate E/T Ratio under the menu option Reports >> E/T Ratio
Circle can generate E/T Ratio under the menu option Reports >> E/T Ratio
Zone can generate E/T Ratio under the menu option Reports >> E/T Ratio
Sub-Region can generate Zone wise E/T Ratio under the menu option Reports >> E/T Ratio
Region can generate Zone wise E/T Ratio under the menu option Reports >> E/T Ratio
DG can generate Zone wise E/T Ratio under the menu option Reports >> E/T Ratio
19What is the last date to upload monthly accounts in PMS?
Ans.Division has to upload the compiled monthly accounts to PMS before 5th of every month.
20By which date Division, Circle and Zone should update the Progress Reports in PMS?
Ans.Every month before 5th day division has to upload and also update the progress reports.
Circle office has to update/confirm the progress reports by 7th of every month.
Zonal office has to update/confirm the progress reports by 10th of every month.
Note: i) Once the remarks are updated by the higher office the lower office cannot update them during that month.
            ii) The remarks are freezed on the last day of the month and the progress reports are pushed to archives.
21How to enter the quality control paras?
Ans.Quality control paras details should be entered by division office.

Ans.The following are the list of items shown in the dash board of division

23How to delete a project?
Ans.Project can be deleted only by the project owner. Project should be deleted only in case of duplication or wrongly entered.
Note: Completed projects should not be deleted. They should be moved to archives after completion, final bill settlement and handing over to client.
24When to add a package?
Ans.As soon as AA & ES is received, packages should be added by the project owner.
